“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” ― Anatole France
When our pet’s come into our lives we have all good intentions to give them the best life we can. Because they are so open and sensitive though, it isn’t long before our fur kids are experiencing stress that goes along with every day living.
It’s not uncommon for that stress to affect our pets in many different ways. Even the most loved pets who are carrying our stress can wind up with allergies, anxiety, poor behavior and even sickness and disease.
So what can a devoted pet parent to do?
1. When I do a healing session with my animal clients, the very first thing that I do is let go of my own stress and distractions. It’s important that I am relaxed and fully present for the pet I am working with.
2. Once I do that, I settle into a comfortable and grounded state. You might also have heard this referred to as being centered. It’s a place of ease and connectedness to that which supports us in a spiritual sense.
3. Then I open my heart and connect with my client. I focus on them and open a channel of pure love and support for their highest and best good. All beings instinctively know what they need to support and heal them, including our pets so the shift in energy affects them in the way they need it the most.
By connecting with my animal clients this way, I enter into a meditative state which allows them to relax and release the stress and negative energy that may be stuck, whether it is on a physical or emotional level. This is the foundation of all animal healing work that I offer my clients.
This is a very simple practice that you can do at home. I encourage all the pet parents I work with to use this simple technique at home as often as possible. Perhaps you can make it part of your morning or evening routine. If you practice yoga, meditation or daily prayer this can be added into that practice very easily. Even just 5 or 10 minutes a day will make a difference for your pet.
So will you start this loving practice for your pet’s health and well being today? I’d love to hear from you about how this is going for you and what changes you see in your pet’s behavior and even your relationship with them.
If you aren’t sure how to get started, I can teach you animal healing techniques and coach you either in person or distantly while you and your pet are in the comfort of your own home. Visit my Services Page to learn more or send me an email to schedule your exploratory session and see if we are a fit to work together.
I’d also like to invite you to join my new meetup group, Holistic & Energy Healing for Pets. There you will have the opportunity to participate in a Virtual Healing Circle on a monthly basis along with other classes and workshops led by myself and other holistic animal healers.
I look forward to guiding you on your pet’s healing journey.
Lots of love,
